We offer the possibility to publish Acquisition Sketches within Special Publication 28 of the peer-reviewed journal Language Documentation & Conservation. This is a ‘living issue’ and new sketches will be added as they come in. We are currently working on the following sketches:

  • Bangla (Bengali), an Indo-Aryan language of Bangladesh (Asifa Sultana)

  • Georgian, a Kartvelian language of Georgia (Tinatin Tchintcharauli, Nino Tsintsadze, Nino Doborjginidze, Teona Damenia)

  • Irish, a Celtic language of Ireland (Ciara O’Toole)

  • Maltese, a Semitic language of Malta (Josette Portelli, Michela Vella, Alexandra Vella, Ben Matthews, Ray Fabri, Jessica Nieder, Ruben van de Vijver)

  • Mongolian, a Mongolic language of Mongolia (Dorjderem Byambasuren)

  • Murrinhpatha, a non-Pama-Nyungan language of Australia (Bill Forshaw, Lucy Davidson, Rachel Nordlinger)

  • Pitjantjatjara, a Pama-Nyungan language of Australia (Rebecca Defina and Wanyima Wighton)

  • Qaqet, a Baining language of Papua New Guinea (Birgit Hellwig)

  • Rukiga and Luganda, Bantu languages of Uganda (Celestino Oriikiriza, Sigal Uziel‐Karl)

  • Tagalog, an Austronesian language of the Philippines (Rowena Garcia and Evan Kidd)

  • Tashlhiyt Berber, a Berber language of Morocco (Abdellah Elouatiq)

  • Totoli, an Austronesian language of Indonesia (Maria Bardaji)
